Terms of Service

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using StageBlind, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create a StageBlind account. Reading is open to everyone — the Red Flag Checker, casting listings, the scam database, and the rate and city pages require no account. Creating an account, posting, commenting, and logging gigs are for adults only: this platform carries candid first-hand accounts of pay disputes, exploitation, and on-set conditions, and we operate no parental-consent process.

Signing up requires you to confirm you are 18 or older. We do not collect a date of birth and we cannot verify anyone's age — this is a requirement you attest to, not something we check. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 — if you believe a minor has an account here, email admin@stageblind.com and we will delete the account and the data attached to it.

3. User Accounts

You must provide a valid email and choose a pseudonymous handle. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Real names are never displayed on the platform.

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant StageBlind a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content on the platform. Content must reflect personal experiences. Do not post content that names individuals, includes personal contact information, or is knowingly false.

5. Experience Sharing

StageBlind is a platform for sharing personal work experiences, not reviews. Posts should describe what happened to you, not make claims about specific individuals. This framing provides both legal protection and healthier community dynamics.

6. Moderation

StageBlind reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, which explain what belongs here, what gets removed, how removals are reviewed, and how to appeal one. Removed content is soft-deleted — hidden from the site but retained in our records for moderation history and appeals. We do not permanently delete content except as required by law.

7. Prohibited Conduct

  • Posting personally identifiable information about others
  • Harassment, threats, or hate speech
  • Spam, self-promotion, or commercial solicitation
  • Impersonation of other users
  • Circumventing rate limits or automated scraping

8. Section 230 Notice

StageBlind is a platform for user-generated content protected under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. We are not the publisher or speaker of user-submitted content. We moderate in good faith to maintain community standards.

9. Limitation of Liability

StageBlind is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted content, including pay rates, working conditions, or scam reports. Always verify information independently before making career decisions.

10. Community-Submitted Casting Listings

StageBlind displays publicly-sourced casting notices and casting notices that users choose to share while using our tools (such as the Red Flag Checker). By submitting a casting notice for public display, you represent that:

  • You lawfully received or viewed the casting notice.
  • You are not under a non-disclosure agreement or other contractual obligation that prohibits sharing the notice.
  • You grant StageBlind a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, redact, edit, and index the submitted content for use on the platform and in search engines.

StageBlind may, at its sole discretion, redact personal contact information, edit the listing for clarity or privacy, decline to publish, or unpublish any submission at any time. Publication does not imply verification of the casting opportunity — users should apply the same caution to community listings as to any other unsolicited casting notice, and should use the Red Flag Checker before applying.

If you are the rights holder of a copyrighted casting notice and believe it was submitted without authorization, see our DMCA policy.

11. Copyright / DMCA

StageBlind complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. To submit a takedown notice, see our DMCA policy for the designated agent's contact information and formal notice procedure. We may terminate accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
