How to Submit a Takedown Notice
Email our designated agent at dmca@stageblind.com. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it — typically the full URL(s) on stageblind.com.
- Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Incomplete notices do not trigger safe-harbor obligations and may be rejected. Please include all six elements to ensure prompt processing.
What Happens Next
- We will acknowledge receipt of your notice within one business day.
- If the notice is complete, we will unpublish or remove the allegedly infringing material expeditiously and notify the user who submitted it.
- The user may file a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). If they do, we will forward it to you and, absent notice of a filed lawsuit, restore the content within 10–14 business days.
Counter-Notices
If content you submitted was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@stageblind.com. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its former location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, mailing address, and phone number, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or, if outside the U.S., where StageBlind is located) and will accept service of process from the original claimant.
Repeat Infringers
Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), StageBlind may terminate accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.
Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Do not submit false claims.
